CTXMA News #2: Troubleshooting for Course Enrollment

CTX Music Academy's website is experiencing some technical difficulties. Kate is trying to make it so the registration is less cumbersome.

go to the August calendar and select the available time.

Good morning,

It's a one-woman show over here at CTX Music Academy right now, and my webmaster skills are growing... but not great... yet! I finally figured out why the course descriptions were not populating. I also fixed the mobile site so that the header moves with the page instead of immediately fading out. I am developing an FAQ's page and will be doing a recorded troubleshoot that will be uploaded soon. I will also have online evaluation tools available for you soon which will help both you and me determine the proper placement for your student, as well as audition materials for those wishing to be in the Wind Ensemble.

Here is my best advice to navigate the website as it is on 4/8/2025 at 8:15 AM.

1)To view course offerings, go to "Registration".

2) To see the course descriptions, click on the name of the course. This will take you to the description page, instead of the booking page.

3)I have the course description for all bands on each page, but I have notated which you have selected at the moment within the paragraph. Make sure you are on the right course when going to "Book Now."

4)When you are on the booking calendar after having selected "Book Now," go to the August Calendar and select August 4.

5)Fill out the form. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via any of the contact information found at the bottom of the webpage.

You will notice that your first payment covers registration + some tuition. This is set up so that by August 4, you will have paid for most of if not all of the fall tuition, which is in line with the CTXMA Handbook's policies regarding tuition requirements. Tuition for the Spring will continue throughout the fall semester. Other music programs may require tuition to be paid in full at the beginning of the year. CTXMA does not want to put that constraint on families and recognize that monthly pay is often easier to accomplish than bulk payment.

I am going to address more on the FAQ's page, which I hope to have published and available by the end of the day Wednesday.
